PLEASE NOTE

With effect from Monday 20 November 2023, work shall commence on the restoration of the Mansion House in Buile Hill Park.

This means there will be no access to Buile Hill Park Hall from Eccles Old Road.  Instead, visitors should use the park entrance on Weaste Lane using the post code M5 5JQ.

Blue badge parking

Two parking bays will be available outside Buile Hill Park Hall for visitors to the hall plus an additional two parking bays next to the tennis courts. All accessed via the Weaste Lane entrance.

From Bolton

  • Join the A666 (Saint Peter’s Way) from Bolton, heading southbound along this route until it becomes the M60
  • Stay on the M60, following signs for Liverpool, and exit at junction 12 (Salford) for the M602
  • Follow the M602 towards Manchester until you reach junction 2 (Eccles). Exit here and take the first exit at the immediate roundabout (A576)
  • Continue along the A576 for approximately two miles, passing Salford Royal Hospital until you reach traffic lights at a junction with Weaste Lane (B5228)
  • Turn right onto Weaste Lane and the park will be on your left
  • Proceed until you see the entrance, turn into the park and continue straight up towards Buile Hill Park Hall

From Leeds/Bury/Rochdale

  • Join the M66 and proceed southbound until it becomes the M60.
  • Stay on the M60, following signs for Liverpool, and exit at junction 12 (Salford) for the M602.
  • Follow the M602 towards Manchester until you reach junction 2 (Eccles). Exit here and take the first exit at the immediate roundabout (A576).
  • Continue along the A576 for approximately two miles, passing Salford Royal Hospital until you reach traffic lights at a junction with Weaste Lane (B5228)
  • Turn right onto Weaste Lane and the park will be on your left
  • Proceed until you see the entrance, turn into the park and continue straight up towards Buile Hill Park Hall

From Warrington/Liverpool

  • Proceed along the M62 eastbound until it becomes the M602
  • Follow the M602 towards Manchester until you reach junction 2 (Eccles). Exit here and take the first exit at the immediate roundabout (A576).
  • Continue along the A576 for approximately two miles, passing Salford Royal Hospital until you reach traffic lights at a junction with Weaste Lane (B5228)
  • Turn right onto Weaste Lane and the park will be on your left
  • Proceed until you see the entrance, turn into the park and continue straight up towards Buile Hill Park Hall

From Stockport

  • Join the M60 northbound and follow signs for Leeds and Bolton.
  • Exit the M60 at junction 12 (Salford) and follow the M602.
  • Follow the M602 towards Manchester until you reach junction 2 (Eccles). Exit here and take the first exit at the immediate roundabout (A576).
  • Continue along the A576 for approximately two miles, passing Salford Royal Hospital until you reach traffic lights at a junction with Weaste Lane (B5228)
  • Turn right onto Weaste Lane and the park will be on your left
  • Proceed until you see the entrance, turn into the park and continue straight up towards Buile Hill Park Hall

From Manchester

  • Follow signs for Victoria Station and turn left at the traffic lights. Take the first left, which will take you on to the A6 (Chapel Street).
  • Stay on the A6, passing the University of Salford, for three miles until you see the A576 signposted (Eccles).
  • Follow signs for the A576 until you see a roundabout; take the second exit and keep following signs for the A576.
  • Continue along this route passing the park on your left until you reach traffic lights at a junction with Weaste Lane (B5228)
  • Turn left onto Weaste Lane and proceed until you see the entrance, turn into the park and continue straight up towards Buile Hill Park Hall
